I don't think they'll be ignoring Iron Man 3's ending at all. I meant in that he's still creating robots and hanging around with the Avengers. Maybe that's what was meant by the "I will always be Iron Man" thing, but I didn't get that impression when he blew up his suits. I don't know, maybe I'm just dumb and I didn't get it.

www.comicbookresources.com/?page=article&id=54083Jason Aaron is now saying that Dick Thor is keeping his name (if I remember correctly, I don't think he was the one who said Dick Thor would be losing his name in the TIME article, so I guess whoever said that was misinformed. I've calmed down a little bit, and I realize that this story could be really good. I like Jason Aaron, Dick Thor is still in the book, and it's nice to know that Chick Thor isn't completely stealing Dick Thor's name (even though she still is in a way). Looking back on my previous posts about the matter, I realize that many of them were quite childish and mostly me overreacting, so I apologize. This news hit me on a shitty day, and I kinda snapped.

I'm going through Arrow season one again because I don't remember jack from it and I want to be caught up for The Flash. If Felicity and Tommy aren't dead by the end of season two I'm going to be VERY disappointed. They're so annoying. Other than that I'm actually enjoying it more (mainly because I've accepted that this is the only dark DC show and I should view it as such). The action scenes are really good too. Someone needs to read Simonson's run. I know that Simonson turned Thor into a frog but I'm pretty sure that was still the real Thor. I apologize for putting the wrong reason of why it's different in my post (I remembered the story wrong) and I will change it. It was actually that you called it a joke when it was, in fact, awesome. After rereading the Frog Thor story I agree with you wholeheartedly. It was that I thought she was stealing Thor's name, and that I was tired of the whole "Thor is unworthy" thing. I understood that it was temporary, but those two aspects still upset me. It was the straw that broke the camel's back. I barely got any sleep the night before, and me and my girlfriend are having a lot of problems, so I was pissed and tired, and the news hit me at the wrong time. Now that you mention it, it is quite similar to SpOck (and you probably guessed by my username that I loved that story). In its and my defense, Otto was a villain before he transferred himself into Peter's body.

It was actually that you called it a joke when it was, in fact, awesome. Nah, it was a joke. That much was obvious, hence why no one took it seriously and why it was so temporary. How do you know this? Have you read the Age of Ultron script? Can I read it please? She-Hulk, Firestar, Batgirl, Batwoman, Namorita and Supergirl weren't temporary. Marvel made a female Iron Man a few years ago. Her name is Rescue.

The post acts upon that the new Captain America is Sam Wilson and the new Thor is female, so the next logical step is Iron Man. EDIT: The post has been updated showing the cover for Avengers #35 which shows who may be the new Iron Man.

It would have to be someone obnoxious. The title Superior Spider-Man worked very well for that book, because Otto as the type of person who would consider himself superior, and states it many times throughout the run of the book. Unless of course, Superior isn't the title of the new Iron Man book, but it would make sense because of the outline of the letters being blue. EDIT: Just read the post. That's a pretty good idea, the series being called superior because Havok is a homo superior.

EDIT: The post has been updated showing the cover for Avengers #35 which shows who may be the new Iron Man. Yes, but it could mean we're getting a females-only Avengers (because it's never deemed sexist when males are excluded) comprised of Miss America, Rescue, the new female Thor and She-Hulk. Then throw in possibly Black Widow, Wasp and/or Ms Marvel and you have a pretty solid team. Female segregation is pretty big in America, and the Powerpuff Girls will be making a return very soon, so there's every opportunity for this be pushed. When Rescue debuted, I thought, 'Should be getting a female Thor pretty soon if his movies are successful.' Suddenly Thor became a household name, became well known to most people, so it was soon time for him to receive a female counterpart.

Do you mean a female-Avengers team replacing the current line-up or co-existing with the normal Avengers team, because if it's the former I don't see it happening, but if it's the latter . . . I don't know. Fearless Defenders was like that with an all-female cast to my knowledge and that only lasted 12 issues. But if they're trying to appeal to female readers, then I think that is completely the wrong way. But I doubt that there would be an Avengers team consisting of primly female versions of male characters. We know the new Thor is female, and that the new Captain America is most-likely Sam Wilson, so it doesn't seem that they're doing an exclusively female line-up.

I very much doubt the Avengers would get replaced when the next Avengers movie will be released next year and is already starting to build significant hype. With female counterparts of Cap, Iron Man, Hulk and now Thor, I'd say the seeds have already been planted. Otherwise, I don't much see the point in having the main team having female counterparts, if these counterparts aren't going to come together. I'm sure it'll happen eventually. Like in DC comics when they made their legacy knockoffs into a team called the Teen Titans. Someone on the CBR forums suggested that the new Iron Man might be Alex Summers, and the more I think about it, the more I dig it. Yeah, it's pretty cool. His look hasn't changed much but it makes sense that it hasn't. I just thought, imagine the power of that Unibeam.

Weird question but do you guys remember Hurl!? It was a game show on G4. The contestants would have an eating contest and then have to race to random stuff designed to make you puke (like a human gyroscope for instance) and the person who didn't throw up won. It only lasted eleven episodes but man did I love that show. I just saw the greatest ad for some kind of “meet and fuck” site.

I really like Marvel's definition for the word "Superior" which is basically when a different character takes up the mantel from somebody else for a short while. Superior Spider-Man, Superior Iron Man, Superior Thor... perhaps this decade will forever be known as the Age of Superior. Hmm?
The thought of it is really making me want to pick up all things Superior, but I know it will be expensive.

So, update on the girl, she had already gone to see The Fault in Our Stars with her friends but she was interested in seeing Transformers: Age of Extinction. Despite the fact I disliked the movie I figured I could stomach seeing it again to go see a movie with her and she said that she might be able to go see it with me. I got really excited and so, after a few days, started to ask about whether she wanted to do it in 3D or 2D and she never answered me. So, the next day, I told her if she didn't want to go see it then she didn't have to and that I wouldn't be mad. When I got off my flight I found a text from her saying that she didn't think it was a good idea to go to the movie and that she was busy babysitting anyway. I told her it was no big deal (even though it really was) and laid off for a few days until the fourth of July when I texted her "Happy fourth of July!" and she replied "thanks". Stupidly, I decided to spark up some conversation and a lot of it landed alright. On my birthday, which was Monday, she called me to sing me the song and then we talked for almost an hour. I've been trying to get some more conversations over text going but she doesn't really respond. I'm not quite sure what to do at this point to be quite honest. I think it is pretty clear she isn't interested and I think I should give up but I'm not completely sure.

Man, I bet no one saw this coming. God. Someone shoot me now. When did I fall into a wormhole into another dimension. Don't get me wrong I am glad the team is diversified but seriously this is some parallel universe level stuff going on. People are going to looking back at this decade, like what they did with the 90's and its craziness and say just how weird a phase we went through.

For DC probably, Marvel's quality is actually really good overall. In the 90's the stories and art were overall crap.

So people were wrong about Havok but it is Iron Man. I think Marvel should have realeased the issue of Avengers where it skips 8 months in time, so that would be the first time we'd see the new different Avengers. Also, I'm glad Tom Taylor is writing this. I'm really enjoying Injustice. Sam Wilson's reveal as Captain America was pretty obvious I think.
