The guy who wrote all those Spartacus episodes. Alright I'm in. He also worked on Smallville and Whedon's TV shows. Unfortunately he wrote (maybe it was a co-writing joint) the absolute worst episode of Smallville. Having completely ignored Sparticus I'm more nervous than ever.

No...The Amazing Spider-Man 2 was amazing. Captain America: The Winter Soldier was sensational. X-Men: Days of Future Past was...astonishing. Oh man. Now I'm really worried about Guardians of the Galaxy ruining the best year of CBMs ever. Fingers crossed. But, X-Men was one of the best CBMs I've ever seen. In fact, I'm debating whether it dethroned Captain America: The Winter Soldier for me...I'll get back to you. I'd say it's better than Cap 2. I'm a little biased, since I like the X-Men better than I like Cap, but DoFP was damn near perfect. I think this might be the best year of CBMs ever. A little off-topic, but where would you guys rank DoFP in your list of favorite CBMs? 1) X-Men: Days of Future Past, 2) Captain America: The Winter Soldier, 3) The Amazing Spider-Man 2, 4) The Avengers, 5) The Dark Knight, 6) Spider-Man 2, 7) X-Men 2: X-Men United, 8) Spider-Man, 9) Iron Man and 10) Iron Man 3. I could go on but that is my top ten. And every single Comic Book film this year broke into my top ten. And I decided X-Men: Days of Future Past is the only 10/10 movie (in the CBM category) I've ever seen, so it goes at the top.

A little off-topic, but where would you guys rank DoFP in your list of favorite CBMs? 1. Sin City 2. 300 3. The Dark Knight 4. Batman Begins 5. Iron Man 6. Batman: Under The Hood 7. Captain America: The Winter Soldier 8. X2 9. The Incredible Hulk 10. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 I haven't seen X-Men: DoFP yet but I will soon hopefully. Most CBMs aren't very good though. Which is why people need to cut their habits and watch The Raid and The Raid 2!! Keep watching films you don't enjoy? Keep feeling disappointed by superhero movies? Watch something far better. It's so good, it's the most sensational epic to ever hit theatres, it completely defies the limits of all other action movies and will blow your freaking mind. Seriously, I can't watch Hollywood martial arts films like The Matrix anymore because they feel like ballerina dancing in comparison to the tough, fast, heavy fight scenes of the authenticity of The Raid franchise. It's by far the best martial arts extravaganza ever, but by being so, it destroys the current martial arts genre and pisses all over modern American film making. It's so good, it ruins everything else. The Raid franchise is totally in a league of it's own, nothing can touch it. If The [first] Matrix is king, The Raid is it's god of gods. I'll keep watching CBMs because for the most part, they're really enjoyable. But it's ultimately the action scenes that make them so, seeing all my favourite comic book characters explode to life on the silver screen. With CBMs, it's the visuals that mean the most. The Raid is on Netflix UK if you have it. If you have, WATCH IT NOW!!!!! The evolution of cinema awaits you! Yes, I know I sound strict and this might seem a little authoritarian to you guys. But I won't lie, you guys NEED to watch The Raid. Your brain is craving for this awesome shit. Dopamine yourselves!

Mine are: 1. X-Men: Days of Future Past 2. Captain America: The Winter Soldier 3. Dredd 4. X2 5. The Dark Knight 6. Iron Man 7. The Wolverine 8. Batman Begins 9. The Avengers 10. Hellboy
This is just live-action movies, of course. If it wasn't, Mask of the Phantasm would be #2, and everything else would go down a spot. Honorable mentions for X-Men: First Class, The Dark Knight Rises, Hellboy 2: The Golden Army, Batman: Under the Red Hood, 300, The Amazing Spider-Man 2, and X-Men. Those are the other comic book movies that I thoroughly enjoyed, but didn't quite make it into the top 10.

Steve S. DeKnight Replaces Drew Goddard on Daredevil I don't know man, I haven't really cared for the past six films. It's kind of the same story over and over. "They'll never accept us Charles" "You're wrong Eric" and then they fight and Wolverine does something nifty. There's so much more to X-Men than three dudes. Plus it's going back to those awful 90s aesthetics and those costumes were just awful. Not really considering I though pretty much everything except for Magneto hunting Nazis was dull and drawn out in First Class (even the Magneto plot got ruined once he teamed up with Xavier). Does it have Magneto fighting Xavier because their beliefs are different? From what I've heard they do what I thought they were going to do and jettison everything but First Class into an alternate timeline (which is REALLY fucking lame and a HORRIBLE way to reboot the franchise). They pretty much just wipe out X3, it could be construed that X2 didn't happen but I didn't see it that way. X1 still happened, I'm not sure if you want me to tell you why I think this because it is a little spoilery for the end of the movie.

And the whole movie was culminating with her death. Now it could be that Jean came back to life after her supposed death but she still would have become the Pheonix and if X3 is retconned then why is she still alive at the end of DOFP.

I was talking about this with my friends, an I thought it would be a good question to ask you: do you want a Quicksilver spinoff (the X-Men version)? I'm all for it, as long as the budget could accommodate his powers.

The Raid is SO much more than a martial arts epic though. Don't be fooled by it's awesome visuals; The Raid is a powerfully emotive story, and some of the films' best scenes are simply two characters having a conversation with each other, like a reunion between two brothers, saying goodbye to someone you love etc. It's beautiful; the script, characters and the actors that portray them are really, really good. It's so good to see such amazing talent from countries that don't normally produce high budget action movies. Yes, it's by far the greatest action movie ever made, easily, but if you were to cut out all the action scenes, it would still be one of the greatest films I've ever seen. The characters are amazing, it has honest heroic heroes cursed with an utterly compelling altruistic duty, much like Peter Parker when he's written best, and powerful, ruthless, villainous crime lords and gangster kingpins. But I think it's the heroes that make it so special, due to their moral obligations and heroic deeds. If you love heroes and villains, this is the film for you. It's not sinister and dirty like some of the trailers may imply. The Raid 1 & 2 are actually very, very beautiful stories full of warm characters with moral spirit, and are my favourite ever films and most beloved movies. Yes, it's violent. But it's beauty is what cuts through the violence like a knife through soft butter. Just thinking about it feels so lush to me. I can lye back on my bed thinking about The Raid, and suddenly my heart warms like a hot bulb. And I am eternally grateful to The Raid franchise to experience such a breathtaking piece of artistry. In my mind, nothing is better than The Raid trilogy, providing the third one lives up to the awesomeness of the first two. CBMs, Star Wars and epic monster movies are cool, but The Raid is something I love more than anything now, and it's probably going to be greatest movie trilogy ever made.
* Does anyone know if the Road To Perdition sequel, Road To Purgatory is still being written/developed? I haven't heard anything about it in years.

DoFP. Man, what a movie! 9/10 for me, and as an answer to whether we would like to see a Quicksilver solo movie or not: definitely. Evan Peters stole the show for me with every scene he was in.

I'm finally hitting the end of the first mega-arcs for More Than Meets the Eye and Robots in Disguise. Holy crap was that well done. I think Robots in Disguise may have shifted to my favorite after a TON of political setup, story setup, and a slow burn that built up so much tension that when it was released it just exploded in a shower of awesomeness. I haven't been that drawn in and shocked with a comic arc since Ultimate Clone Saga. Meanwhile More Than Meets the Eye's mega-arc ended in bloodshed, death, and tragedy. I seriously cannot recommend these two enough.

Playstation's next big exclusive. The Order: 1886 Gameplay footage. Quicksilver was originally supposed to be Juggernaut but it got changed and Colossus is in the trailer. Hmm, so we might get a new, more awesome Juggernaut for X-Men: Apocalypse. Guys I'm going to have change my list a little. I forgot that Road to Perdition was a comic book movie. I didn't know that. Otherwise I would have had it as my #1 favourite.

And yet, everybody was okay with it when it happend to Nick Fury.
For the record, I agree with Wyokid but since there are so few minorities represented
I'm more comfortable with the fact of making the Human Torch Black then making the Black Panther White. (Because this seems a rather lazy way of writing ... instead of coming up with some new and interesting characters that will appeal to minorities, why not just take some characters that people already find interesting and just make them minorities?!)

Hasslehoff is who I think of when someone says Nick Fury :# How about a Blue Marvel film? I find it ridiculous to change the race of a character. They're just trying to reach a quota and instead of using an ACTUAL black character they're taking a character who's characteristic is that they are white and making them not white. People get all up in arms when they change a black character to a white character but cheer when the opposite happens even thought it's the same damn thing. If you took a black man and changed him to be white (or vice versa) in real life his entire life would be different. He'd be a completely different person.
