I don't know if Guardians of the Galaxy is going to be able to top Godzilla. Gotta watch the show brah. (For Guardians) in the box office or as a film? As a film. I got a bit upset last night thinking we're not even halfway through the year and I may have seen the best movie of the year already.

You should check out the show. It redeems the existence of Jar-Jar Binks I'm not sure how it can. I know he goes into politics which I can imagine him being a bit like Boris Johnson (Mayor of London). But I'll check it out nonetheless. I don't know why but only a week after a break up and I have 3 women vying for my attention. I don't know what to do lol. I know what I'd do. I was talking to two girls who FINALLY went to see The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and they LOVED it. Although, of course, they had to talk about how they were crying like babies at the end but they thought it was FAR AND AWAY the best Spider-Man film they'd seen. I thought so too. Glad to see I'm not alone. I think it's far and away the best Spider-Man film too. It's not without it's problems, and it wasn't quite as good as I'd hoped it would be, but it's easily the best one yet.

I know, both The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and Captain America: The Winter Soldier blew every other film out of the water. Godzilla, however, sucks more and more the more I think about that crappily constructed narrative with completely one-dimensional characters.

I watched X-Men Days of Future Past last night. Probably the second best X-Men movie behind First Class. I did have some questions though. Why did Wolverine not have Bone claws during the beginning of the movies? In the Wolverine they made a whole big deal about him losing his adamantium claws. I ain't complaining but just questioning. When the fuck did Kitty get time powers? It feels shoehorned in when they could have just another character for that.

And yet TASM2 and Cap: TWS weren't anywhere near as good as The Raid 2. Sales aren't often a good indication of quality. I watched X-Men Days of Future Past last night. Probably the second best X-Men movie behind First Class. I did have some questions though. Using spoilers for the discretion of others, did it explain how future Xavier is alive? And did it continue with the reveal that Magneto's powers are actually telekinetic? And can Beast change his appearance at will in prequel continuity? I haven't seen the film yet but that's what the trailers seem to suggest.

Top 3 things I'm most looking forward to seeing in the new Star Wars Trilogy.1. Lightsaber battles of course! But each movie shouldn't rely on having many of them. After all, one pivotal lightsaber battle for each movie was once traditionally followed. 2. The Stormtroopers. There are remnants of the Empire that still exist, scattered throughout the Galaxy. Which means the Stormtroopers will return. Just imagine, a Stormtrooper Clone Trooper hybrid would really help smoothen continuity. The traditional 70's cliché of the Imperial henchman in the original trilogy feel jarring in comparison to the badass Clone Troopers depicted in the prequels. I'm hoping J.J Abrams will find a middle ground for his modern day take on the Imperials. It would certainly make continuity much easier to swallow. 3. Luke Skywalker's New Jedi Order and Leia's New Republic on the now liberated Coruscant. I know all post-RotJ has been scrapped, but it would be completely nonsensical for the new trilogy to not have a New Republic and New Jedi Order. It's only natural to presume Luke and Leia would try to re-establish these unions. And they're already richly developed in now-non-canon-continuity. I'm getting my Gold Octobot ready... Is that some sort of eight-legged AI sex droid you like to team up with for orgies?

Here is the after credits scene at the end of X3. So even the movie franchise's continuity is messed up. Talk about bad editorial. I hadn't seen that X:Men: The Last Stand Easter Egg before. It isn't on the collector's edition DVD. It only had the Magneto one and the Rogue alternate ending. It's a reference to Dan Slott's Spider-Man. Doctor Octopus used a gold Octobot to switch his mind with Peter's. I just thought eight devices ("Octo" in Octobot) or long, thin legs between four girls, even without the guy involved means two thirds of all four girls' h... It's probably best if I don't continue with this discussion. So one of the girls interested in me is interested in getting into comics. My dog really likes ice and the other night I had a cup of ice water out on the table and I passed out and she wanted to get some ice and she knocked down the cup in the middle of the night. Woke up and water was everywhere...including my phone. Got a new phone through Amazon and I found out it is European so I'm using UK sites by default. Also I can't get on CBR now.

I'm getting weird reactions to X-Men. I wouldn't say mixed but rather everywhere. Even people who didn't like it are saying it's good but then people who liked it are saying it sucked and then you have the normal stuff as well as more weird stuff. I don't really have any desire to see it but this response is kind of making me want to.

No...The Amazing Spider-Man 2 was amazing. Captain America: The Winter Soldier was sensational. X-Men: Days of Future Past was...astonishing. Oh man. Now I'm really worried about Guardians of the Galaxy ruining the best year of CBMs ever. Fingers crossed. But, X-Men was one of the best CBMs I've ever seen. In fact, I'm debating whether it dethroned Captain America: The Winter Soldier for me...I'll get back to you.

A little off-topic, but where would you guys rank DoFP in your list of favorite CBMs?

I don't know man, I haven't really cared for the past six films. It's kind of the same story over and over. "They'll never accept us Charles" "You're wrong Eric" and then they fight and Wolverine does something nifty. There's so much more to X-Men than three dudes. Plus it's going back to those awful 90s aesthetics and those costumes were just awful.

Secondly, 1) X2 2) DoFP 3) The Wolverine 4) The Dark Knight 5) Cap 2 6) Avengers 7) Iron Man 8) Spider-Man 2 (Toby) 9) X-Men 10) Spider-Man (Toby) I don't know man, I haven't really cared for the past six films. Not really considering I though pretty much everything except for Magneto hunting Nazis was dull and drawn out in First Class (even the Magneto plot got ruined once he teamed up with Xavier). Does it have Magneto fighting Xavier because their beliefs are different? From what I've heard they do what I thought they were going to do and jettison everything but First Class into an alternate timeline (which is REALLY fucking lame and a HORRIBLE way to reboot the franchise).
