Solid issue. It was good but not great. Marquez' art shines like always. I think the Latveria package was involved with Venom, but I don't think that will come to pass until the second arc, although on the cover of issue 5 it shows a hand that looks like Venom's but it's probably just Green Goblin's. Also, Peter Parker seems a lot different, but because Miles automatically jumped to the conclusion that Peter was a clone, I doubt that he is, because it would be too obvious at this point.

That's exactly the impression I got from the issue. And up until now I've been pretty darn certain that Peter Parker was just his Scorpion clone, but this issue makes that theory seem too obvious with Miles guessing it so easily.

Yeah i really liked this issue. Marquez is killing it, but the decompression is hitting harder than it normally ever did. Theres so much plot and character to cover, but it keeps getting pushed back. And if it really is Peter i wanna know what happened to him. I feel bad that hes the most interesting part of the series already, but its just the way Bendis writes him. Not just the intrigue, but he has so much more personality than Miles does STILL, and thats disappointing.
And i already cant blame him for being a bit.. short with miles. He has so many people hes trying not to hurt, and this kid just says "You tell them or I will." Seriously? We still dont know much, but I can only guess that Peter knows Norman is free and is trying to stop him from causing more crazy nonsense, hence his rush to get his webs back.
But I I THINK I already get what Bendis is going for; between the title of the book, the fly twins being mistaken for spider-man, and "peter parker" returning, its all gonna end in some way that miles comes out on top. That these are all hurdles he needs to overcome to be THE Spider-man. I hope Bendis accomplishes this, for Miles' sake. But still, having Peter around will help show their differences, and add a different flavor to the UU.
