I can't wait to read this. Me too. I'm dying waiting for #2. The cover reminds me of Spider-Men #4 and I wonder who that guy with the bloodied hand is? You would thinks it's Green Goblin, but he's hand is black. Looks like Venom to me, but I doubt it is.

Looks nice. Norman creates a new Goblin, maybe? Perhaps that's what he's trying to do in the preview to #2.
I knew the Parker clone couldn't be totally evil. If he has most of Peter's memories, he can't be all that bad. And it just gives Norman the opportunity to kill him again.

Nah...they wouldn't kill the Mary Sue of Spider-Man characters. What? refers to a character that acts as wish fullfillment for a writer more than anything; seems to be idealized, naturally good at things and all that. Better definition is here: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mary_Sue

He never loses a fight, his Venom blast was a one hit ko or spammed with no repercussion to his body and he always swoops in to save more experienced and probably better suited heroes from whatever situation ails them.

It doesn't mean I dislike miles at all, but the stakes have never felt for very high for him when he can just venom sting his way out of most problems

The venom blast/sting was a really bad idea. Miles doesn't need to use his cool octocamoflage if he can knock out almost every threat just by touching them.

You know, Miles hasn't really used his camouflage as much anyway. He just keeps resorting to the venom blast that is really OP.

This, I mean really the only foe that Miles would have trouble with are 1) Someone who can heal/is immune to the blast 2) A speedster that Miles couldn't touch. I'm am happy to see Bendis slowly backing it down, first with Taskmaster and now with Peter.

Theory #1 - In the recent issue of MM:TUSM (can I just call it USM?) the "Fly Twins" were after a Latverian parcel. And with Doom coming back I was hoping we'd see the Eddie Brock and Beetle War of the Symbiotes cliffhanger continued. And now on the front cover #5 that's shown above, it seems the claw we're seeing may be Venom's. Theory #2 - But I don't know. It seems a bit much to have the new Fly ninja twins debuting, Norman Osborn, the Parker/Scorpion Clone AND Venom all in one arc. So I'm officially sticking to my original theory about the black claw on that cover being a new black Goblin that Norman creates. It seems like that's what he was contemplating in issue #2 when he enters his secret lab and is holding the serum. Theory #3 - Then again, it could just be Norman's hand that's shadowed. But it doesn't look like that to me. Theory #4 - Another possibility is that Norman might turn himself into a black Goblin by continuing to use stronger OZ serums. Edit - Theory #5 - Or Norman might use a Venom symbiote from that Latverian parcel to turn himself into a Venom enhanced Green Goblin. I think theories #1, #2 and #3 are the most likely. I'm going to go with #2 though. You know, Miles hasn't really used his camouflage as much anyway. He just keeps resorting to the venom blast that is really OP. Yeah, it's something Bendis seems to have forgotten about. But like I and many others theorised after Miles' first ever arc, Miles is ridiculously powerful with that Venom Blast of his and with it, there doesn't leave much need for any of his other powers. Sure, there is some need for his other powers, but not much when he's got the a Venom Blast to take down whoever he chooses. I'm hoping he loses it eventually. I don't want him taking down all his villains the same way and I don't want half his villain roster being "uniquely" immune to it either.
