Gotcha. I quit watching Hannibal about five episodes in because I didn't like any of the characters. It's a shame because Bryan Fuller's other show, Pushing Up Daises, was so goddamn good. I was thinking the books being "adapted" would bring me back. :\ Funny thing is is that I don't really think Mads Mikkelsen is a good Hannibal. He is average. Originally they were going to chose David Tennant to play Hannibal which I think would have been a much better choice. Especially how he played Barty Crouch Jr. in Harry Potter. That was a perfect mixture of sanity and insanity. I can barely understand what he's saying in episodes.

The captions make the show much better and much smarter.

I don't have a problem with his accent, it's that he has zero enthusiasm and is very boring. Hannibal is supposed to have a very menacing presence. At all times it should feel like he's in control even when he clearly isn't. Mikkelsen just doesn't have that. Tennant would have been an interesting choice, but I feel like he'd be better as a Patrick Bateman kind of psycho. Just murderous glee and wild insanity.

See that's were you need to watch the later episodes to judge him better. He does have the control theme in much of season 2 and it's quite great but he doesn't have the menacing theme which kinda makes it pointless since he is supoposed to be the bad guy. Even with the season 2 finale I couldn't actually get scared of him. Speaking of Bateman, I remember reading an article that said they were going to make an American Pschyo Tv show. Yep. Here it is insidetv.ew.com/2013/09/10/american-psycho-tv-series/. They need to get Tennant on it right away.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt's best role yet. Yes, even better than his Looper role, I bet. Jessica Alba's finest role. And Mickey Rourke returns as Marv, the role he was born to play.
This year's best movie?

JGL's REAL best role The image won't load for me for some reason, but if you're suggesting 500 Days of Summer is his best role, then I can't really argue with that. That's one of my favourite films.

I absolutely love Hannibal. It's a great show. I still don't think it was as shocking as The Red Wedding seeing as half of Hannibal's characters are sure to survive. True. But wouldn't it be crazy if they replaced the entire cast just so they could bring in Clarice Starling to avenge there deaths. Ok. That's not going to happen because Bryan Fuller said they aren't allowed the rights to Starling. Still though replacing the entire cast would be crazy. Replacing the entire cast would definitely be crazy. I wish they had the rights to the other books because I would love to see adaptations of the later novels. I love Mads. He's a great actor and I think he plays a good Hannibal. I make sure to watch with subtitles most times so that I can fully understand everything he's saying though. =p

I accidentally got to the theater two and a half hours early. I've already browsed Imgur and Facebook. I'm slowly losing my sanity. I can feel it. Nah son, 3rd Rock From the Sun He's awesome in that too. But in the new Sin City he's going to be BAD-ASS and funny. Damn, I can't wait 'til August 22nd. Sin City remains my all-time favourite comic book movie. It's a perfect adaption. Guardians of the Galaxy will probably be seriously amazing and I can't wait to see it, but Sin City: A Dame To Kill For looks the most fun to me personally. It has Joseph Gordon-Levitt instead of Chris Pratt and Mickey Rourke instead of Vin Diesel. I know it'll be awesome to see Rocket and Groot in action, but Sin City's story, plus the return of Marv, JUST cinches it for me. Which reminds me, did you get to see GotG? Was it as awesome as you hoped it be? I don't go to the Cinema very often but I will try my best to get round to seeing it whilst it's still in theatres. It's going to be superb, I know it. It could very well be the best Marvel film ever.

I haven't watched a single trailer for the new Sin City I think. I'm going to see it anyway so it's no big deal. GOTG in one hour lol. Google Maps said it would take me two hours to walk here (7 miles) but I've been walking really slowly lately so I was prepared for it to take me three hours. It took me a bit over an hour.

Look at the promotional posters of some upcoming films and judge their quality with harsh critique. That should kill ten of fifteen minutes. Edit - Maybe check out the arcade if it's got one. That should kill another five minutes, or maybe a good twenty minutes if you go on one of them. And the Dame to Kill For trailer I posted above will kill another 2 and a half.

Holy. Shit. Everyone needs to see this immediately. It does not feel like a Marvel Studios movie. It's a James Gunn flick through and through. Notable comic cameos Howard the Duck, Cosmo, a Celestial (not just the head, a full Celestial), and a huge plethora of aliens. Also Josh Brolin CLEARLY did the mo-cap for Thanos. And you're right Sage, I loved that post credit. There are two credit scenes. One is right after the title before the actual credits and the other is at the very end.

And you're right Sage, I loved that post credit. There are two credit scenes. One is right after the title before the actual credits and the other is at the very end. Totally agree. Despite how much I absolutely adore The Amazing Spider-Man 2, it is the worst CBM of the year. Yet again, though, it was a tough year to be the best. I'm not ready to say Guardians of the Galaxy is the best CBM I've seen all year but it is a really, really strong film. It is super, uber good. It has a lot more adultness to the humor and everything but my little brother loved it all the same. The quick two scenes of Thanos had me in goosebumps. He looks so good in motion. If I had to put Guardians of the Galaxy anywhere it would be just below Captain America: The Winter Soldier but I may need more time to digest it before I place it under yet another great Marvel flick. So far, I'd guess, my ratings for CBMs this year would go: X-Men: Days of Future Past (10/10) Captain America: The Winter Soldier (9.5/10) Guardians of the Galaxy (9.0-9.5/10) The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (8.5/10) Originally, I loved The Amazing Spider-Man 2 a lot more because of just how much studio mandated sh*t it had stuffed down its throat, I felt it did a good job navigating it. But Guardians of the Galaxy showed us how it was done. It introduced so many aspects of the extended universe that will obviously feed into bigger things down the road but it fit within the story that was supposed to be told. It juggled Ronan, Nebula and Thanos perfectly and they all serviced the story in a viable way and you never felt like any villain wasn't getting his due. Although, once again, I must say that Ronan was a horribly weak and cliched villain. It is so sad that Marvel simply can't make a decent villain aside from Loki (who don't think is as great as everyone thinks he is). Thanos, though, looks to be what I really want to see from a villain in a Marvel film. He truly does have a great presence on-screen. I loved it. All-in-all, it is one of the better made films and it is pretty close to the high-point of Phase 2. Now, if I could just get the awful taste of Thor: The Dark World out of my mouth I would be completely happy with the entirety of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Overall, though, this year is much better than last year's CBMs: Iron Man 3 (8.5/10) Man of Steel (7.0/10) Thor: The Dark World (4.5/10)

I'm pissed off. Albert Einstein at 65, 70 years old kept up to date with new information, he kept reading books and spoke to youngsters. How am I ever going to be able to achieve that in this world? There's so much I want to learn before I turn 20, and I still haven't invented anything. I feel like I'm in a prison. This artificial regimentation is too much for me to take! I want to be free. I just don't have the time to do what I want. What the hell am I supposed to do? If I don't go to work, I can't eat, and if I don't go to college, I can't improve my life, and if I don't pay my bills, I'm homeless, and if I don't sleep, I get cranky. Plus, I need to cook, clean and be a fantastic boyfriend. If I get an hour spare, I might play the Playstation to unwind, but there's just not enough hours in the day to do everything I want. I need to be free from this cruel, miserable, stinking, godless world.

I've been re-reading Remender's run on Uncanny X-Force and good God is it still amazing. I loved how by the end it's revealed that the whole message of the run is that it's wrong for superheroes to kill. Such a fantastic run. I'm seeing GotG tonight and pretty pumped, so I'm taking a nap so I won't fall asleep. I tried getting a friend to go, but no luck. I see movies by myself usually. I never understood falling asleep at the movies. It's so loud. The person I went to see Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance fell asleep and that's one of the loudest movies I've ever seen that's not Emmerich or Bay. Holy. Shit. Everyone needs to see this immediately. It does not feel like a Marvel Studios movie. It's a James Gunn flick through and through. I feel like Ronan had a good motivation but then Thanos showed up and Brolin chewed that scenery so hard. Avengers 3 is going to be so freaking epic. Also Loki is a great character. A lot better than I originally thought. Even in just the first Thor movie. I'd talk more about it but my fingers hurt from writing a scathing review of/bitching to my friend about Batman: Assault on Arkham. I don't know why I keep watching these awful DC animated films but I do. This one is getting terrible reviews though so I know it's not just me which is always nice. I'll discuss Loki around Avengers 2 when I rewatch everything.

I'm glad Thanos was good.
Tell me, how strong was Drax depicted as? Were he and Thanos shown to have cosmic powers and did you see them fly? edit - Actually, if Thanos unleashing his power didn't happen and they're saving that for another movie then that would be even more amazing! But what about Drax? Was he powerful in GotG?
