I disagree with the "all the Parker fans are long gone from the UU" part, USM started when I was just a little boy and I am following this series ever since. I don't read any other title. Seriously, USM shaped my childhood and still plays a huge role in my life.

Im 24 now and it just stuck. Ultimate Peter Parker made me into the fan that I am. And even though he "died" I couldnt drop the book. It has too much sentimental value for me. That, and its still a damn good book!

Same here guys. I grew up with Ultimate Spider-Man and since USM #1, I just can't leave the UU. That's why I'm still hoping for Peter's return, he's by far my favorite character, better than his 616 counterpart.
USM's stories are still pretty good since DOSM but without PP and his incredible supporting cast the USM books aren't as excellent as it were :/

Ultimate Spider-Man #1 was the first comic book that I read, and I've been reading ever since. The only other run I've read all the way through was Geoff Johns's Green Lantern.

Even if this ends up not being the real Peter (which it most likely isn't) we all have to admit that this story arc seems to have immense potential so far, and it hasn't even started yet. Forget about us, the fans, for a moment and let's get into Miles' world. Here we have Norman Osborn, the man who managed to kill Peter Parker, return and face Miles. Miles will be more than a little intimidated, scared and enraged all at the same time. There will be a flow of emotions that Marquez' art will bring to life! Then we have "Peter" return from the grave, again playing with Miles' emotions. This is going to be one hell of a roller coaster ride for Miles and I have a feeling the action will be crazy as well. With Norman facing off against Miles, "Peter" getting involved and potentially introducing the Scarlet Spider. This won't be a one-dimensional story with Miles simply facing a villain, using his venom blast and winning. This has the potential to be deep and impactful like the Clone Saga, Ultimate Knights and several other classic Ultimate Spidey stories that involved several key-players. I've already dismissed this as being the real Peter Parker, and yet I couldn't be more excited for this arc. If only to see Green Goblin with a beard Even if it isn't the real Peter I really want to see how MJ reacts. I wonder how she will respond to having a new boyfriend. I bet she will dump his ass

I hope it's the real deal, but I am expecting a fakeout. To everyone calling him a "jerk" for his interaction with Miles, keep in mind we don't know the context. Maybe Peter just swooped in a saved Miles life and this is how he decided to get back in the game. I didn't read the lines as Peter being douchey, rather he was tired of being on the sidelines and wanted to get back to saving people.

I feel like Bendis is playing with us. He knows everyone thinks it will be a fake but... he won't ever say if it is or not. Throughout this story we are going to be questioned whether he is the real one or not and then at the end when he dies again we will all be so mad because he didn't answer whether he was the real Peter or not. How fast would you get your pitchforks. Lmao.

I'd have to be a lone for a little while haha. At that point Bendis would be officially trolling those of us who still miss Peter.

I didn't like Miles enough back in 2011, but I'm willing to give him another chance with the new series. #thecrimson - I never said I don't hope it's something good, nor that I want it to fail (that would be really clever - to spend my money on something I don't like) but I hope for the best and prepare for the worst.

I doubt this is the Scorpion clone. He had a tail fused to the end of his spine, and removing it would kill him.
