Oh yah. Robbie. I finally got a hold of Utopia. I should have time to watch it either tomorrow or the next day. I'll tell you what I think as I go along. Also if you haven't watched Sword Art Online you have to start. Or the first season anyway. Trust me my recommendations are really good when it comes to anime. speaking of animes ... Naruto! Yah I'm conflicted. On one hand the ending made me sad because of how long I have been reading the series. Since I was in middle school. So it's like losing a best friend. On the other hand it's like losing a best friend who you have little contact with. I hate the ending and I dislike how the direction of the series had been going for a long time. Honestly, the series ended with me with the reveal of Tobi. Everything after that seemed like fan fiction to me. But I'm not going to hate on the entire series because most of the series made me who I am today and the lessons it taught are eternal. The hardest part is I will miss reading it every week. It's been something I have been doing almost every Wednesday for the past 8 years that it will feel like I pulled out an arm. If you get my drift... Anyways, Naruto has been fun but despite all the flaws it had I will still continue to reread it and show my kids if I ever have any.

Dont worry man. Soon Naruto GT will be on and it won't be as good, but it will do. Yep. They will milk this series for all it's worth. Losing a cash cow like Naruto will leave a financial dent in there wallets unless something big can replace it fast. I'll still read the upcoming continuation of Naruto's kids next spring but that's just the beginning of this cash grab that will lead to god knows how many more series they will release with the anime.

Technically it has been dormant though. While Luke was the major force sensitive in the real series there really wasn't any other that was known except from the EU perspective which is now non-canon. If we look at it from this perspective we can see that the force was greatly diminished to only a few people. The Emperor, Darth Vader, Obi-Wan, Yoda and Luke. We don't know if there were any more people born with the force. We kind of expect it but what if that didn't happen? After all the Emperor and Darth Vader weren't training a school full of Sith. One of the reasons brought up was that they killed any force sensitive child in fear of another Sith rebellion but what if that wasn't the case and that there just wasn't any children being born with the force. Basically by the end of Return we just have Luke who is waiting for more force users but it never comes. Kind of like the Airbenders from Korra. They were almost extinct but with the spiritual energy released they were able to release the airbending ability to people. I don't think the Force would be dormant just because children weren't tested as to whether or not they possessed midichloreans. The Force is a continuous, ever-flowing force of energy that surrounds and flows through the galaxy. So I don't see how the Force would suddenly disappear, die or become dormant because undiscovered Jedi haven't been trained in how to use it. As the famous quote entails "The Force is an energy field created by all living things. It surrounds everyone and penetrates everyone and it binds the galaxy together." So if the Force suddenly became dormant then obviously that would no longer be true. So that's quite a problem if the writers have ignored that basic Star Wars knowledge. So I hope that's not the case. "Awakened" in Episode VII seems to suggests the Force has been dormant all this time, meaning that either people haven't been using the Force (which as seen in the previous films we know is not true) or 2) the Force has gone away or stopped working. We've previously had six episodes showing that the Force is alive/awake, so why would the Force awaken now? And we know that the Force was already alive or "awake" in Luke and Leia. Granted, Luke's the only living Force wielder who was trained in how to use it, or least that's as much as we know in the current continuity. But we do know that there will indeed be Jedi in the new trilogy, so the Force can't have disappeared. Also, perhaps more importantly, it was shown at the end of Return of the Jedi that the Light Side of the Force was more awake in Luke Skywalker than it had ever been in anyone before. Jedi had always learned to suppress their emotions. But Luke was able to use love to conquer the Dark Side. It was love that conquered all, his undying, unfaltering love for his father, it was hope, and it was his faithfulness to bringing him back to the Light Side of the Force. This pure-of-emotion, new way of wielding the Light Side of the Force was so powerful that not only did it defend Luke from the temptations of the Dark Side, but also re-awakened the Jedi in Dark Vader. This is a pivotal moment in the Star Wars saga, as Luke was able to go against his teachings and discover that "love-anguish" (or whatever you want to call it) is a powerful pure emotion that conquers all temptations of the Dark Side, that small light which can pierce through any darkness. So you see, the final act of RotJ presents the very antithesis of the Force being dormant. So what does this mean for Luke's New Jedi Order following on from those events? How will the order's teachings be established now that Luke learnt the better way to draw energy from the Light Side of the Force? Obviously we'll have to wait and see to find out. Will Luke now have the green Force-lightning in the new trilogy like he did in the post-RotJ EU continuity? Maybe. I hope so. Some fans assume that the reason why the Force may have suddenly become dormant is because the recent rumours are true, and Luke has indefinitely fallen to the Dark Side. I don't think this is the case though. Even if Luke has fallen to the Dark Side, the Force would still be well and truly alive/awake if he can use the Force, regardless of whether it's the Dark Side or not. And not only that, but Qui-Gon Jinn, Anakin Skywalker, Yoda and Obi-Wan Kenobi all gave themselves to the Force before they died. Their spirits joined with the surrounding Force more so than ever before, allowing them to live on the spiritual plane of the Force (similarly to the concept of monotheistic religions, the Force takes many forms and functions). Maybe Episode VII's plot will be partially based around Luke's inability to contact his Jedi predecessors through the Force, and it will be about Luke trying to find the answer to that. But even if that's the case, if Luke can still move objects with the Force, then the Force isn't dormant. However way I look at it, I don't see how or why the Force would be awake now, 7 Episodes into the series. speaking of animes ... Naruto! My only experience with Naruto are the PS3 games and a couple mangas I had a quick flick through. I really like the powers and abilities of the different characters.

I'm thinking it might be one of the Infinity gems. I also speculate that hopefully Dr Strange will find an Infinity gem during his travels to a demon realm. I think it would be really cool because it's something the writers can just throw in there. A little something unexplained, in which he keeps in his pocket and doesn't tell anyone about yet. Edit - @ sage6paths - Let me know what you thought of the first episode of Utopia! The pilot follows that modern TV series tradition of an extended episode to get you into the story and it's characters. It's about 60 mins long I think.

Billy Dee Williams isn't in the line up to play Lando Calrissian in Episode VII. But it's all good. I have a feeling he'll turn up in Episode VIII instead.

Interstellar. I thought it was really good. Definitely one of Nolan's better films. For one thing, it's a story that I really enjoyed. I love all that resource knowledge.. but I would have liked more of it. But I can see where Nolan's research went, and I like how he's taken the opportunity to educate his audience with this movie. And he presents it really well. My only minor gripe about this is that I would have liked to have seen more real world statistics brought up on screen. It would have been an effective way to help spook the audience and convey the story's message more profoundly. The performances were really, really good. The cast were on top form. It was all very nicely shot. Expert stuff. Nolan's a really good film director, no question about it, and he proves this with Interstellar. But I think it missed some opportunities for some awesome shiny space imagery, the kind of stuff which Gravity had too much of, there ain't enough. But that's a minor complaint. There's no denying how well Nolan presents his work. Feminazis will probably complain about the only female scientist being a bitch when she proposes sacrificing the entire mission for love. Make of that what you will. I didn't enjoy it as much as The Dark Knight but it shows slight improvement or enhancement in Nolan's work nonetheless as a Director and as a Writer. I thought it was a great movie and I would certainly watch it again. Did I not tell you Jer? I got kicked out of college ages ago. I didn't know about this! How/Why? You were caught shagging in the toilets, weren't you? You sly dog. =P Looks great. I don't know anything about Big Hero 6. I'll have to check it out.

While the premise is good, I think there needs to be more action. But that's just me. This show reminds me of Misfits but without the powers. Anyways I will continue watching it. I am interested to see more comic pop culture references.

Don't get me wrong I love my dad and my dad loves me but we both know that love isn't some force that is mysterious. It's just certain chemicals in the body that mix to create a reaction. So yah. I mean neither of us are woman haters but that scene was so eye-rolling.

While the premise is good, I think there needs to be more action. But that's just me. You've just scene mass murder at a school. There's definitely more action in the latter half of the season, but it's more Arthouse Cinema than budget Blockbuster. I can't stand Misfits. It's all about the comic book. That's the key to Janus! I'm sorry. I thought the movie was great but me and my dad were just laughing when ever she was speaking about love. Got the Batman '66 Blu-Ray boxset for my birthday. It's beautiful. Comes with a Hot Wheels Batmobile, an Adam West scrapbook, vintage trading cards (don't tell Coulson), and an episode guide. Best part though, the box has a button and when you press it it sings the theme song.
