- As seen in the preview Osborn is transferred from SHIELD to the federal government. Later in the issue he blows up the transport truck he is in.
- The firefly twins make a robbery, they end up being front page news.
- Miles and Kate is kissing on the stairs of the school, they talk about is dad.
- Miles and Ganke discuss if it is wise to reveal that he is Spider-Man to Kate.
- Miles decide to talk to MJ about it.
- Miles and MJ talk, she says Miles could just aswell as Kate to marry him, it's that big.
- And then Miles finds Peter in his dad's empty flat. The way they meet suggest that Peter did not intend to meet Miles at all.
I think the issue is good a little slow paced, but it is Bendis after all. The MJ scene was the best in my opinion. Marquez is doing great as usual, but I begin to spot the similarities in his faces. Overall it is a good issue, but I am not that excited, the story lacks something that I can not quite put my finger on. Edit: Sorry Sage for forgetting the poll

I agree with Rok, a very good issue, but a Bendis issue : if you've seen the previews or you have red the interviews and USM 200, so you know 90% of this issue. Like Rok, I don't know how to feel about this new story. Maybe it's because I just don't want to be disappointed and keep in mind that Bendis must be playing with us.
But it could be the real Peter who's coming back. It would make sense : he came back in order to fight the twins since they're assimilated to the Spider Man name and he might be upset to see villains taking his names. Plus, Osborn is back and if the real Peter Parker is alive, he must know that Osborn is still somewhere and after Cataclysm and the end of the SHIELD, he may be back too.
Just can't wait to see the August's solicitations. I hope Bendis will tell us if it's really him or not, just a "yes" or "no" would be cool :/

This was a good read. Like Spiderham said, we know about 90% of the issue. However, that last bit does make the whole story worthwhile. I always thought Norman was going to come back and with this comes all sort of implications. Is Dead really Dead. What about Harry? Could he still around? I'm still not too sure on Miles and Kate's relationship. What we got with MJ and Peter was pretty written out. Miles relationship seems glossed over and has less of an impact. Is Kate to Miles what Gwen was to Peter in the 616 and we are just waiting for the inevitable death and lead up to the main girlfriend? Overall, I was pleased with this issue and I really want to read more. I give this issue a 8/10. I thought this was an interesting review, MM: Ultimate Spider-Man Review

FINALLY read the book. Im digging it as always, great art and fun dialogue. But the decompression! AH! Once it feels like its picking up, it ends. But hey thats Bendis' style. Not knowing if this is really peter or not is gonna kill me

I thought it was a great issue (hey look! I actually bought an issue in time to discuss it lol). I know most people have a problem with Bendis and his writing style (decompression!), but I generally like it. Maybe I've just gotten used to it. Seriously can't wait for #2. The wait will kill me so much

I really enjoyed this issue. My one gripe is that Norman escaped exactly how he did all those other times, just this time it was from a truck... I love how MJ was in it and how Ganke thinks r is now Mr. Ladies Man since he got Gwen to kiss him I'm not sure what to think about Peter. I'm about 99% sure he's a fake, but so far I don't have much to work off of for a theory (other than my Chameleon theory). It was obviously Peter in the bushes in #200, and he figured out, from spying on the Parker home, that Miles was Spider-Man... But why would he raid Miles' apartment looking for "his stuff"? Anything he would need I'm sure would still be at May's house, unless he already looked there and she had gotten rid of all of his gear. He may or may not be one of the Fly Twins, who are apparently being referred to as Spider-Men. Wow, Norman is sure in for a treat: Miles, "Peter", Spider-Twins and possibly Scarlet Spider (if he/she makes her debut as well). I wonder if "Peter" (if he isn't Chameleon) is the Scarlet Spider. Bendis teased that SS would be in #200 and all we got was a shadowy figure who turned out to be "Peter"... Kudos to Bendis for weaving a web like this, no pun intended. I find myself theorizing in the same fashion I used to, and that means this series is off to a good start in my books

Ok so here is my take on the issue. I'm going to do two perspectives, one assumes it really is Peter the other assumes it is a fake.
1)Really Peter -If he is involved with Fury, he could know Miles identity -He could have been tracking/watching Miles take his role (taking his web shooters and getting close with Peter's family) -He would know to go to Aunt May's house since he knows those people
2)Not Peter -Could be poor writing by Bendis since no one but Ganke, Fury (maybe the Ultimates) and his dad know that Miles is Spidey. Still I wouldn't put it past Bendis based on his use of Norman in the UU. -Could be the Chameleon twins, again would require really poor writing and plotting.
I'm not sure how a clone could know that Miles is the new Spider-Man since the only living clone is A) insane and B) been locked up since his first appearance. I suppose it could be a brand new clone but again I think that is just terrible writing.

Chameleon knows where Peter lived and it wouldn't be hard to figure out the anniversary of his death. He spied on the house, saw a group or people leaving... Correct me if I'm wrong but Miles' mom made it to the news so he could have put two and two together. Land I'm pretty sure Chameleon would know how to use a phone book to find an address. It's not too far fetched.
I can't wait for the answer.

It does partly line up with the chameleon twins.. They would take the form of someone and figure out a way to rob places and all that while framing someone. But i don't get why they'd be wearing spidery suits if they could shape shift into anyone, even the same person. But I guess that would also keep people from figuring out the thieves are shape shifters.
Bah. See all the what-ifs here? lol My brain keeps coming up with reasons it might or might not be them
And with Bendis saying to look at USM #200 for scarlet spider and now we get "Peter" wearing a blue hoodie ((eh? eh?)) I can't tell if he's faking us out or prepping us for the next story development. The suspense is killing me here. I do hope its not Roxxon making more clones because reasons. That arc never really developed as much as I'd like, plus Miles got the main dude arrested so i doubt thats the case. With SHIELD shutting down it would have to coincide with that too right? I can't imagine its a coincidence. SIGH! MYSTERIES ARE AFOOT!

I really like the theories you guys have made but I'm sticking with the original: Scorpion Clone is the Scarlet Spider. I can't imagine one of the Chameleons being the Scarlet Spider because their shape shifting abilities don't copy powers, and I doubt Bendis would make the Scarlet Spider someone who can't stick to walls. Anything he would need I'm sure would still be at May's house, unless he already looked there and she had gotten rid of all of his gear. Aunt May gave Miles Peter's web shooters in issue #14. The question is, how does the Scorpion Clone know that? (Or rather, how do the Chameleons know that?)

I loved this issue. Seriously LOVED it. And the pacing was perfect IMO. I'm not usually much of a fan of compressed issues because I like a thorough story. So I feel like this issue adhered to my tastes very well in that respect but it also felt rather quick and energetic to me. This book is exciting. I literally couldn't have hoped for a stronger start to this series. Bendis has improved exponentially for the new USM. #200 was great, but this was exceptional. I loved every page.
I'm starting to really like Kate as Miles' girlfriend. Kudos to Sage6paths for theorising she'll get killed of at some point, akin to Gwen Stacey in 616. That would be tragic. I'll be devastated if that happens.
I especially liked the scenes with Mary-Jane. All the characters were written very well. The focus on Miles' supporting cast is already going strong, they each have their own voice and I genuinely care about them.
This is my favourite issue from the relaunch so far, which is surprising because I expected it to be the title I enjoyed the least. But this is Bendis bringing his A game. I agree with Balfro that this could very well be one of the best arcs Bendis has ever written for USM. If he keeps this up, he might just make this series as legendary as Peter Parker's original USM series. Suffice to say, this is excellent story telling and for the first time in as long as I can remember, I'm giving a solid 10/10. As a first chapter, this issue was perfect. And with the Fly Duo, Norman's escape from custody and the Peter Parker reveal at the end, this story's set to explode.
